About Cowley College: Sumner Campus

In 2016, Sumner County voters supported a ½ cent sales tax to establish a permanent Cowley College campus in Sumner County. State law requires a renewal of the investment every ten years, so it’s time again to show support for the Cowley College Sumner campus.

Several programs are currently at capacity, with some already operating with waiting lists - underscoring both the strong demand for local workforce training and the need to sustain and grow the local campus. Today, 163 students are enrolled in classes at the Wellington Campus, representing 9 high schools and 45 adult students. At our locations in Sumner County's Mulvane community, the college currently serves 261 students with consistent enrollment in technical educational programs.  Enrollment remains strong with both Wellington (12%) and Mulvane (26%) campuses seeing increases in the Fall 2024 to Fall 2025 full-time equivalence (FTE) enrollment.

We’re excited for the future and want to continue to build on the success of the past decade.
